2. Service Description

BankCode.io provides informational lookup of banking identifiers including SWIFT/BIC codes, BLZ codes, UK sort codes, and ABA routing numbers ("Bank Codes"). The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice.

We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information but do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or availability. Always verify Bank Codes with your financial institution before use.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Accounts

The Service may be used without creating an account. If we offer accounts or API keys in the future, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Do not attempt to access data you are not authorized to access.
• Do not interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service, including by excessive automated requests, scraping beyond reasonable use, or circumventing rate limits.
• Do not reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source of the Service except as permitted by law.
• Do not submit sensitive financial credentials or personal data not required for lookup.

We may implement technical measures (e.g., rate limiting, IP throttling) to protect the Service.

6. API and Automation

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, and content we provide, is owned by BankCode or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for lawful, informational purposes.

8. Third-Party Content and Links

The Service may include data or links from third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or websites. Use them at your own risk and review their terms and policies.

9. No Financial Advice

Information provided by BankCode.io is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, tax, or professional advice. Verify Bank Codes with your bank before initiating transactions.

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, features, or availability at any time, with or without notice.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including for violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BankCode AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BankCode and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
